Draft, for counsel review
Effective: upon publication
1. Who we are
Arcalect ("we") provides a municipal intelligence platform to institutional subscribers. This policy describes how we handle information in operating the service and this website.
2. Information we collect
Account information: names, institutional email addresses, and roles for authorized seats.
Client configuration: the parcels, watchlists, thresholds, and preferences your team sets.
Usage information: authentication events and product usage at the seat level, used for security and service improvement.
Correspondence: messages you send us, including information requests.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, and we do not license or share client configurations or client-derived insights.
Our intelligence product analyzes public proceedings and public officials in their public capacity. It does not profile private individuals, and community sentiment is analyzed at the level of issues and neighborhoods, not people.
We do not use client data to train models made available to other clients.
4. How we use information
To operate, secure, and improve the service; to communicate with your team; to meet legal obligations. We process account data under the subscription agreement with your institution.
5. Retention
Client configurations and intelligence archives are retained for the life of the engagement and deleted on request following termination. Security logs are retained on a fixed schedule.
6. Disclosure
We disclose information only to service providers under confidentiality obligations, or under valid legal compulsion, in which case we notify the affected client unless legally prohibited.
7. Contact
